Screw down cleats of the same thickness as your material or thinner to your table and butt your material into those? I do this often and have found that in most case you only have to put cleats on 2...

Dust collection

A few weeks ago I was cutting a bunch of LVT tile using my EZ1, the material was about 3/16" thick and had a layer of fiberglass in it, so it was abrasive. I ended up going through 3 carbide tipped...

Man, your take on EZ dust collection must be alternative facts. I've a 5007MGA with EZ installed dust collection, it is marginally better than the factory dust port but by no means good.

I think anyone who has ever plunge cut with a CS quickly learns that you have to keep the saw moving forward as you plunge. Maybe euro tracksaw buyers didn't get the memo. DeWalt recognized this when...

I like left bladed saws. I'm left handed but push a saw with my right. Don't know if that's good or bad and don't care.
Doesn't much matter with a tracksaw you're just pushing it not guiding it

Saw that TSO set up on the festool forum, someone, could have been TSO recommended that, for long cuts you use one of their squares and parallel quides at each end of your track. It'd be like $600 in...

Thought these were particularly cute. Think of the investment they made just to develop these.

Kreg

Looks like they've gone all in on a tracksaw system. Seems like most Kreg stuff works pretty nice, guessing this'll be OK. Assuming that they've just rebadged some euro saw. Prices are about like...

Seems to be what they were saying is that when you want to crosscut, make a cut that is not parallel the edge you are indicating off of, you slide the adjustable arms off the UEG then instead of...

Huh, that's not the definition that I've understood the forum to use. For example the EZ Ripsizer ripped. It didn't matter what the panel side length was or the grain direction. A cut made parallel...

Sorry, it was likely me that caused the confusion.
If the rip cut / crosscut reference is what caused the confusion. A rip cut is when you are cutting parallel the edge that you are indicating off...

So you have to slide the arms off the UEG or it won't sit flat on your material and measure an offset from your straightedge to figure your cutline. So just a shooting board. Darn, I thought it was...

Thought after reading a number of them Id be able to glean enough from them that I'd eventually understand how he's using the UEG to crosscut but...

I'd advise you to just buy the nicest saw that is locally available. I do not think that $600+ Makita 5057 in your link is necessary or even desirable given its weight.

As long as you mount your saws to the EZ Base with the same distance from slot to blade you should be able to switch saws without any effect on the anti chip edge.
You'll also likely not have to...
